I tried planting a variety of vegetables in a variety of ways. Most failed, still to unknown reasons.
What I thought would fail the most was my butternuts. I planted seeds from a butternut from the market, and I had no idea if it was GMO.
Luckily for me my butternut plants have been growing like crazy, except they have been having some problems.
This photo is from Christmas. The butternut vines are even bigger now!

But it seems the tide might be changing. I have two butternuts growing now and one tomato!

Looks good from here. My garden was truly unfortunate this past summer. Today we received about a foot of snow and it’s still coming down in drones. On a side note, I chose the Vegetarian Entrée for the S.O.B. (you know how delish John’s dinner was – we all snacked off it – Oh, and I’ve been scouted and recruited to play on Doug’s team – can you believe it? I’ll be playing on the enemies team =)) Won’t be the same without you. Keep up the good work and blogging – Hugs!!
I’m so sad that I’ll be missing the SOB along with the mountains and hot springs. I hope it and the Vegas curling goes well!
